During the 1st Chertoff Family reunion, in the beginning of July 2003, we
connected two individuals (living in Israel) to this branch.
They added three generations, including living persons—giving this otherwise
dormant branch life.
Then, Marcia Chartoff sent information connecting her and her ancestors to the branch. Her family centered in Newburgh, New York. Now, this is a vibrant, living branch with members living on three continents.
There are 221 individuals and 62 families representing 29 surnames in this database, including 93 new individuals.
Notice that there are two transliterations of the family name in this one tree, Chertov and Chartoff.
It is my hope that we will all be connected to this one tree. That is my overall goal.
