If you are on my branch of the Togal tree, this page enables you to find out how we are related! Just find your name in the list, and our relation appears in parenthesis at the end of that line.
I've color-coded and indented according to generations to make it easier to identify members of the same generation. The number that appears before each name indicates the generation number from the source (patriarch) of our tree. The number that appears following each name, and preceded by the number symbol ("#"), is a reference number to help us identify each individual (sometimes the same name appears a few times in a family, especially when naming children after ancestors) and facilitates work in genealogical software. That reference number helps when clarifying incorrect names or spellings of names.
Spouse names do not include relation, because they are not related to me (at least, not in genealogical terms).
Our patriarch, Berel Togal, is the only member of the first generation. His children are in the second generation, and theirs are in the third (and so on). So...I, for example, am in the fourth generation and my reference number (in this tree) is 1. Therefore, my name appears indented and as follows:
